Michelle Obama, wife of Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama, came to Gainesville to campaign for her husband. It was amazing!! She is the truth. This is strange but the night before the rall I went to bed with butterflies in my stomach. I was so nervous to shoot the rally because 1) I have a small crush on Mrs. Obama and 2) I didn't want to mess up today. We arrived around 11:30 AM and covered the event like a Gator football game with 2 photographers (myself and my boss Rob), 2 videographers, 4 reporters, and a blogger or 2. Excessive.......I think so. Lol.
After too many introductions, Michelle Obama walked out to the steps of the Hippodrome State Theatre with a smile on her face as if she was at home. Her speech made me want to put my cameras down and walk to the early voting polls and VOTE right then and there. As an outsider looking in, Michelle Obama is a great mother, a great wife, an attorney, smart, beautiful, & so passionate about people voting and her husbands campaign.
Truly Claire Huxtable does exist!!
